King Liam Edward Wilderman Arrives!

Well, 5 1/2 hours of labor and 6 minutes of pushing... and shabam! he's here... Needless to say the second is easier than the first. He weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and 21 inches long. He was born July 18, 2007 at 1:15 in the afternoon. They broke my water at 8 am and I had to get the dreaded pitocin iv at 11 because nothing was happening. Then the contractions took off. The pitocin made the contractions alot more stabby. Anyway, the monitor wasn't picking up the contractions. I was not allowed anything for pain until my contractions were regular. So, I am contracting like crazy, but they can't see them on the monitor...So Melissa, the best nurse ever, kept cranking up the pitocin. Finally she came in and I was in tears, she felt my stomach as I was contracting and the monitor was not showing anything. She checked me and I was 6 cm dialated. After 7 no epidural... quickly the epidural fairy came into my room and I magically became a much nicer person. Then about an hour later, I was ready to bring my son into the world. Dr. Madura is awesome! I didn't even need any stitches! So, now our happy family consists of four. Liam is doing quite well. We are working on getting his schedule regulated. He had his days and nights mixed up. Justin and I are doing good also. Not too sleep deprived. And Oliver has only managed to crack Liam with a toy cell phone once. He is actually doing really good. So, that is what I have been up to this week...

3...2...1...Baby!

Well, just a quick post to let you all know that I will be taking a wee little break. I am going to be induced on Wednesday, July 18...if I don't go before. So, hopefully things will progress smoothly. Oliver's labor and delivery was only 8 hours total. I will post when Liam is born with photos... Take care everyone...

Tag! You're It!

So, 8 random things about me...I am a relatively open person so beware...

1. I have to rub my feet together to fall asleep. I rub my toes back and forth for as long as it takes...my poor husband.

2. I get on color kicks. They last a while. I am not sure why I do this. In elementary school it was yellow, high school pink, college red, now green...beats me...oh I also associate colors with numbers...7 orange, 9 red, 2 blue...

3. I use ... alot. And I literally find it difficult not to use it. I also say, "ya know what I mean" and "does that make sense" all the time. I am working on it though.

4. After I get out of the shower I always clean my ears and my nose with q-tips...and I love it.

5. I prefer open windows to air conditioning...in the car and at home. Unless it is a million degrees out.

6. When I was in the 6th grade I came into class one day and there were signs on some of the girls desks that said the SH'ers Club. I later found out that it stood for Sunny Hater's Club after I asked if I could join.

7. When I am working really hard (painting, sewing, or cleaning...) I always suck my lips in and bite down on them. Sometimes my lips will hurt at the end of a busy day and I will have teeth indentions on the insides.

8. I love writing utensils that have a super fine point. teeny tiny...
Bonus: My nickname was Butch when I was little...

So, if you haven't done this yet...do it. It is kinda fun actually.
