lurking?

Okay, I have made a decision. If there aren't any people reading this thing, I am gonna quit. If I want to journal to myself, I can do that on paper. I like paper better anyway. So, you... person reading this... leave a comment. Nothing fancy. You don't have to create a username. I would prefer real names, but whatever. If there aren't the number of people that I think is worth the effort, I am shutting down folks. You hold the power of the future of this measly little blog in your hands cyber world... now use it.

good morning

Just a few new photos of my boys.
I have been pretty busy lately. I read A Wife After God's Own Heart the other night. I was convicted. So, I am instituting change. FlyLady has really helped. Not that my house was ever out of control. It just gives me a sense of accomplishment when I finish everything on her list. So, I am off to "shine my sink" and finish my last load of laundry. Tata folks.

It's a sad day...

Today, my friend from elementary school, Destiny (Rater) Peters, lost her baby boy. Braxton Lee Peters was born today around 4 this morning. Destiny was induced yesterday at 7:30 am. Everything looked to be going great. She labored all day. She reached 10 cm and began pushing. After about 10 pushes or so... the nurse couldn't find the baby's heartbeat. They performed an emergency c-section on her in a matter of minutes. However, 6 lb. 14 oz. little Braxton with big feet and his daddy's dark hair didn't make it. It is a sad day. They were able to hold, bath and dress him. They took the family picture. But it all seemed like a cruel nightmare. We mourn the loss of a little boy, but we rejoice because we know he is with our Father. So, now instead of rocking her little boy tonight, Destiny is stuck in a hospital room on the maternity floor of Home Hospital. She has the stretch marks and the scar of a baby that is not with her. I can't imagine her grief. She has to plan a funeral and write an obituary... when she should be adjusting to a new sleep schedule and figuring out how to work a breastpump. My heart breaks for her. I am begging for your prayers for her and her family. She is a wonderful person and I love her dearly.
