King Liam Edward Wilderman Arrives!

Well, 5 1/2 hours of labor and 6 minutes of pushing... and shabam! he's here... Needless to say the second is easier than the first. He weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and 21 inches long. He was born July 18, 2007 at 1:15 in the afternoon. They broke my water at 8 am and I had to get the dreaded pitocin iv at 11 because nothing was happening. Then the contractions took off. The pitocin made the contractions alot more stabby. Anyway, the monitor wasn't picking up the contractions. I was not allowed anything for pain until my contractions were regular. So, I am contracting like crazy, but they can't see them on the monitor...So Melissa, the best nurse ever, kept cranking up the pitocin. Finally she came in and I was in tears, she felt my stomach as I was contracting and the monitor was not showing anything. She checked me and I was 6 cm dialated. After 7 no epidural... quickly the epidural fairy came into my room and I magically became a much nicer person. Then about an hour later, I was ready to bring my son into the world. Dr. Madura is awesome! I didn't even need any stitches! So, now our happy family consists of four. Liam is doing quite well. We are working on getting his schedule regulated. He had his days and nights mixed up. Justin and I are doing good also. Not too sleep deprived. And Oliver has only managed to crack Liam with a toy cell phone once. He is actually doing really good. So, that is what I have been up to this week...
